It’s time to clean off your griddles, put on your cut-off’s and flip flops and revel in the day out barbequing and puffing awesome Cigars. Along with my favourite cigars, I love to drink a drink of scotch and just relax. After such a long winter, which appeared to be longer than years past, last weekend was perfect BBQ weather. I was able to finally open all of my windows and air out the house. I do not smoke within, it needed displaying out anyway. I tuned up my lawn mower because yes, unfortunately it is that time of year as well . The snow is gone and the grass is growing. I do not mind cutting my grass and keeping the grass up. There is basically a great satisfaction to a nice looking lawn and worth all the effort. This past weekend, I smoked my favorite cigar and BBQ’d up some ribs and pork steaks. I like to think of myself as the master cook, king of the grill. There isn’t anything like lighting those coals and going to the city on bountiful meats and veggies. Naturally I think of myself as a charcoal man, I adore the flavor of the griddle. If you use gas, it doesn’t get the smokey flavor that I love and is way overrated. I invited all of my pals and of course the other half and children were there. It’s a bit to cold to swim yet, but once memorial day comes around, I will open the pool for the season. My kids love swimming and splashing around, I am also known to take a dip with cigar and scotch in hand. Summer is a great time to meet up with friends and family and enjoying life they way you wish to.
Let the Barbeque Season Open
April 14th, 2010Attaining The Most From Your Stogie
March 17th, 2010To actually rate a fine cigar, you should view it as more than a plant in a wrapper. It is far more than that. Great premium cigars are rare. One of my top faves is CAO Cigars, a handrolled stogie that never deceives. There has been great persistence, insistence, and care in producing it, from the hand-rolling procedure all the way to the local smoke shop. Take the wine/cigar scenario. You would never enjoy a glass of 200-year-old wine while eating bologna and watching the hockey tournament with your friends? Of course you wouldn’t. That is against the law! The eventuality is the same with cigars. A high end smoke merits the perfect environment. Environment: Start by Locating the ideal Environment. Select a place that is lovely, where you can not be distracted. A place with some stunning country landscape is absolutely terrific, particularly around the fall and spring when it isn’t too chilly and not so humid. The proper drink to have with you: If you’re a new smoker, it is critical to grasp that actual drinks will go with smokes. There is not any guide, as everyone has a different idea. Most high visibility cigar smokers will usually prefer a pleasant robust tea, coffee, or possibly a cognac. Some wines are also extremely good colleagues for a pleasant cigar. Never enjoy a cigar on an empty belly Have a little snack before you smoke, nothing that may overpower your palate. Select something that isn’t terribly robust. Just a little something to wake your tastes up and prepare them for the expedition to come. Light your cigar and enjoy it for all its’ worth. Take your time and get most out of your stogie experience.
Cigar Productivity
February 10th, 2010Just as the western european wine industry experienced stress and growing pains as US wine producers gained world accolades, the Cuban cigar industry must face market facts that they are no longer the global leader in cigar production and cigar quality. In fact, the lifting of the Embargo ( whatever that suggests ) will not, can not return Cuba to its glory days. The cigar industry has taken root and gained force in some of the states mentioned above, and there is not any indication that they may go into bankruptcy if the embargo is lifted. They’re gaining notoriety and accolades for manufacturing quality products that the U. S. cigar backer has grown to accept and love.
Only a Couple Days to the Smoking Exile
December 29th, 2009All Right, my town has accepted a smoking ban for all public facilities, with only a small number exceptions. I’m so done with my human rights being abolished, I’m ill. I don’t fathom the reason non-smokers have such a assertive judgement on what us smokers are doing. I comprehend that smoking is unsafe, but I made a conscience selection when I took up smoking, observant of the fact it was not good. Just because non-smokers want me to give it up, does not mean that it will happen. Smoking in bars has been a freedom, but most restaurants provide a special smoking section. If you prefer not to to smell the smoke, don’t sit in the smoking section, you are not forced to sit in smoking. And as far as the workers of these restaurants that state they are affected by second hand smoke, I don’t believe it. I was employeed in the restaurant business for more than 10 years, and I know that most of thepeople I worked with were smokers. Dealing with the public, tends to, initiates you to smoke. And, I have never heard one non-smoking co-worker ever complain about smoking while on the job in the smoking section. Putting a smoking prohibition in restaurants and bars, will only save me money, for I won’t dine out after the January 1st.
What I want for my Present: Smokes!
December 18th, 2009I have made a decision this christmas to ask for trustworthy Christmas Gifts that my wife can pick out easily for me. My number one gift, as always, is my favorite cigar from macanudo-cigars.com. My wife won’t even have to leave our apartment, she can go online (I have all my favorites sites saved) and throw in the order there. As far as anything else, she can take a trip to the local retailer and choose a gift. She debates every year that I am the most complicated guy to purchase for. But we have been married for almost 15 years! And if she doesn’t know the things I want by now, I give up. I continuously mention every holiday, “I want stogies”, I enjoy 1 or 2 in a day, and that adds up. I bought a humidor for storing my stogies, “what’s that for?” my wife askes. Well my love, it’s to keep my cigars crisp. So, if you get me smokes for December I can keep them in there for a few months and remove a cigar when I am ready to savor one. Although I have to say, I got blessed last year, my wife purchased me a lighter that was ingraved with my initials. The prior year, she got me a fishing pole, without thinking I said I wanted to go fishing again someday. Well, I went fishing only once after that, but guess what, I still puff 1-2 stogies every day. In the end what do I want for christmas this year? I want Smokes, and anything else would just be an secondary delight.
Cigar: Information for the average tobacco smoker
November 10th, 2009The simplest method of identifying cigars is by the method in which they are made. Cigars are either rolled by hand, or manufactured by machines. The novice smoker may be tempted to start by trying those machine made brands sold in Drug Stores, such as Dutch Masters. However, the aspiring connoisseur should consider spending a few more pennies and moving up to hand rolled cigars, which are sold online or at a local tobacconist.
Daily Smokers Vs Connoisseurs
TypicalIndividual cigar smokers have their own specific tastes, and have their own individual budget. Those who like smoking several cigars per day may need an “everyday” cigar that is less expensive. Therefore, the taste and cost of machine made cigars can be very handsome to some smokers. However, to the aspiring or experienced connoisseurs, the ones who enjoy an occasional cigar as a special treat, the hand rolled cigar is worth every cent.
